MONTHLY TRAINING PACKAGES ARE $899/MONTH (or $250/week) AND INCLUDE BOARDING
MONTH ONE: THE FLY WAY PROGRAM
(4-12 MONTHS OF AGE)
- 1-4 sessions gun fire (2 days pistol, 2 days shotgun) intro with birds
- 7-10 sessions on ‘Fly Way’ with multiple bird sets and gunfire. Decoy conditioning and intro to water/water retrieves with birds
- 4-7 sessions collar conditioning with the commands ‘Here’ and ‘Kennel’
- Remainder of month 1 running pup on multiple bird sets and polishing up water work, ‘Here’ command, and upland whistle work. Daily trailer work and tie out work
- Final day evaluation with owner and dog- 1 hour training session with both.
- Month 2 & 3: Junior Gun Dog Program
MONTH 2 & 3: JUNIOR GUN DOG PROGRAM
(12+ MONTHS OF AGE)
FLUSHING BREEDS
- 1-3 sessions of Fly Way Program
- 35-45 sessions of force fetch
- 5-7 sessions Fly Way Program, walking singles, marks, continuous heel and sit/stay obedience
POINTING BREEDS
- 20-30 sessions ‘whoa’ training
- 10-15 sessions ‘whoa’ in field with birds
- 1-2 hours training with owner and pup
- Continuous heel, sit/stay obedience
MONTHS 4-8: ADVANCED GUN DOG SCHOOL
(18+ MONTHS OF AGE)
- Intro to hand signals and long marks (blind retrieves)
- Remote sit (whistle)
- Steady to kill/flush
- Steady to blind
- Steady to heel
- Dog will see ‘pictures’ for daily marks including marks off property in different locations and actual upland hunting guide dog scenarios.
