Paul Carrier, Jax & Mabel
On Tuesday, August 22, 2023 we lost a very special part of the Pheasant Bonanza family.
Paul Carrier was a guide at Pheasant Bonanza for 11 years. He was also an avid KAMO volunteer and on the winning Upland team of the 2022 Burt County Bird Bounty. Paul was the creator of the Flat Water Ice Bowl that takes place at PB as well. He competed in numerous Upland hunt competitions on Team Pheasant Bonanza.
Paul was born and raised in the Omaha area. While growing up, he frequently hunted upland birds and turkeys with his father. He was a licensed electrician, avid fisherman, and overall enjoyed just about anything outdoors. The most exciting part of upland hunting for him was good dog work. He enjoyed the company of hunters as well. According to Paul, “How can you not love a new group of people to tell your same old BS stories to all season long?”
Paul will be extremely missed at Pheasant Bonanza by our guests, staff, and dogs. Paul’s passion and generosity toward KAMO will be missed as well.
We miss you Paul. The dogs miss you too.
