Trent Leichleiter: Professional Trainer

Trent Leichleiter, Pheasant Bonanza's newest Pro Trainer. He is a young, energetic and passionate trainer who enjoys working with both flushing and pointing breeds. Trent has recently trained and handled his two Labradors to achieve AKC junior and senior hunt titles.

He graduated from Dana College with a double major in education, and competed five years with the wrestling team. During his time in college, he became an All-American wrestler, and his wrestling team were National Champions during his senior year. Trent is also a three time Academic All-American. He looks forward to using the persistence and hard work he developed through wrestling and academics to train the dogs he will work with at Pheasant Bonanza.

Trent's family includes his wife Katie, and children Jager, Kruze, & Bryx. Pheasant Bonanza is proud to include Trent as a part of their ORVIS Endorsed dog training and breeding program.

Chuck Bohlin: Professional Trainer

Chuck Bohlin is one of Pheasant Bonanza.s professional dog trainers. Chuck's love of the outdoors continued after his retirement from dentistry by joining the Pheasant Bonanza team as a full time trainer. He feels it is a privilege to work with this outstanding team not only in dog training, but other aspects of running a hunt club & dog kennel.

Chuck occasionally guides for Pheasant Bonanza, but feels the highlight of each day is working with the dogs to bring out their full potential. "Training several breeds of dogs is a constant learning experience for both dog & trainer." says Chuck. He has trained several dogs that have since received AKC titles, won Pheasant Hunter Unlimited events and other hunting competitions.

The dog training program at Pheasant Bonanza, which Chuck helped develop, he feels is one of the best in the country and likes how it is designed on an individual basis. He particularly likes to take the dogs to the training pond to do water work in the summer and feels that the advantage of training at a hunt club is having the ability to train dogs over plenty of birds, pheasant, chukar, quail or pigeons from the early puppy stage through to a finished dog. Chuck encourages all dog owners to be part of the training process in order for the dogs to continue their development.

Chuck's family includes his wife, Charlotte, 3 children and 7 grandchildren. His grandchildren love to come to Pheasant Bonanza and play with the dogs & puppies.

Aaron Schroder: Professional Trainer

Aaron believes that a strong bond is needed between dog and handler to expand a dogs natural abilities to reach its maximum potential which will end result in a great home life and many memorable hunting seasons in the future.

"In my training we concentrate on extremely focused, yet short sessions.  Its essential to end on an extremely positive note".

"I always end the day with a leisurely group hunt with my training dogs and my personal dogs.  This is an essential socialization lesson, and its just a good way for them and for me to blow off some of the training stresses of the day and a great re-focus  on why we are really out here doing this... Because WE love it"
