"We purchased a little brindled female lab puppy from Trent and Katie. She is a sweet dog who loves to play fetch and is crazy about birds! Trent was great about letting us visit the pups at any time so we could get to know them. The parents were well cared for, well mannered, and great hunters. We think..."

Dog Competitions

Pheasant Bonanza participates and hosts a number of competitions that will test you and your dog against the best in the area and Nation.

Our goal is to provide hunters and dog handlers an affordable experience with a competitive edge.  Our club competitions are held monthly and consist of 3 birds for the single dog run (either chukar or pheasant), or 6 birds for the two dog run in a designated field.  The dog is scored on point or flush (depending on division) and retrieve, the handler is scored on shells used and time used. The competitions are a maximum of 20 minutes and you have the opportunity to run with one or two handlers/hunters. Each dog can be run a maximum of four times on a weekend event.  The competitions are a great way to extend your hunting season and a good way to see how you compare to others in the area.  Pheasant Bonanza also hosts sanctioned events such as AKC, PHU, and NAVHDA.

If you have any questions about any of the events or scoring, please call (402.374.1765) or E-mail (trent@pheasantbonanza.com).
