Happy Hunters

"You have an excellent staff. It seems all they want is what is best for their client and I hunted with three of them. The cook is amazing and every time I seen him he was busy, a one man show."
"I just returned from Pheasant Bonanza and the hunt was incredible from the time I arrived, until I had to leave. I will definitely be back. Thanks, Trent, staff, and crew...."

Benelli Exhibition shooter

I’d wanted to visit Pheasant Bonanza since hunting with one of their dogs at another lodge. I was impressed then, and more so when we made some episodes of Wingshooting USA there recently. The grounds are varied and managed carefully for birds and good dog work. The setting is beautiful, staff accommodating and fun to be with. The dogs....were stellar!

"We recently purchased a black lab puppy from Pheasant Bonanza. We were very impressed with the care and communication we received about our dog. We also appreciated Trent and his efforts to get us the best deal & best dog. Thank you for all you did!!"

Meet the General Manager

TerntTrent Leichleiter, Pheasant Bonanza's General Manager. Trent is very passionate about the role he plays at Pheasant Bonanza, he loves the challenges that come along each day, and the individuality of every hunt or dog he trains. Trent's years of experience in guiding upland birds and waterfowl hunts has provided him with the expertise needed to lead successful outings and field experiences. Trent enjoys planning and hosting large events like the Pheasant Hunters Unlimited (P.H.U.), Nebraska Pheasant Championship, PHU Nationals, and registered sporting clay shoots at Pheasant Bonanza.

Trent's passion for hunting and the great outdoors came from hunting as a young child. Trent would accompany his father, Andy Leichleiter every hunting season from the time he could walk. He credits his passion and desire to achieve success in both hunting and life to his dad. As he grew older, his hunting passion developed an enthusiasm for retrievers and eventually led him to seek a full-time job managing a hunting preserve and training dogs professionally.

At Pheasant Bonanza Trent participates in A.K.C (American Kennel Club) Hunt Tests, P.H.U events, as well as an ORVIS Endorsed dog training and breeding program throughout the season as well as handling many client dogs. As a full time trainer of both pointing and flushing breeds he encourages you to come out for training sessions while your dog is being trained at Pheasant Bonanza. He believes that the training process for you as a handler is just as important as the training your dog is receiving.

As a family Trent, his wife Katie and their children, Jager, Kruze and Bryx enjoy meeting new customers as well as assisting clients and being part of the experience at Pheasant Bonanza.
